The scariest thing about this Halloween is how long I have been sick. I have been out of work since Tuesday, with a what I thought was a bad cold, but instead was Strep throat – which I didn’t find out I had until Thursday. I could have gone on my trip to Phoenix if I had gone to the doctor on Tuesday like Mom said!
I hate it when she is right!
So I am home, coughing up green stuff, drinking herbal teas, and grumpy as a tortured ghost. Some little Brownie Scouts in costume came by today about 1pm and I started to chew them out for trick-or-treating on the day before Halloween, and so early in the day. I got their candy anyway, only to find out that they were asking for canned food! I felt so bad that I gave them an overflowing bag of stuff!
Sorry girls, you caught me in my “monster” costume!
I feel better, too, which makes it all the worse. I could be in a theater watching a scary movie right now, or playing board games with horror-movie themes. “Scene It” has a horror movie app out right now, and I promised my friend Deb that I wouldn’t play it until I was with her. Sorry, Deb, but I am going to have to look at it now!
So, no earth-shattering news here, as usual.
