Farewell Dearest

This morning a bright star appeared in Heaven. My sister journeyed ahead of us, to light our way when we follow. I wish I was as resigned to her fate as she was. She never faltered in her resolve, courage and desire to keep the rest of us from mourning her.

I dread the day we place her earthly shell into the ground. Our coporeal selves are what we protect and comfort, keeping each other warm and snug. I wish I had comforted her more.

Goodnight Dearest. Godspeed your journey on ahead of us.

Computers suck

My computer needs a new motherboard. Each of my 3 USB ports went out one-by-one, & even though my computer still basically functions I can't back up any thing or print or even sync my iPod! Grrr!
My sister got better news. She does have pancreatic cancer but they think it and the eight tumors in her abdomen are treatable with chemo. Gives her a little longer. Damn it, if she'd only gone to a gastro sooner!

Hard days...

My sister was dx'd w/ pancreatic cancer this week, & its spread to her liver & abdomen already. They give her about 3-6 months. My cousin Robbie died suddenly at 40 yesterday. This is just a horrible week. I can't wait to get back to work to get some normalcy!
I never even ventured outside today, so I have no nature to talk about. My dog cuddled w/ me though this afternoon, so that was good! Tomorrow I brave Wally World.
Meager thoughts today indeed...

On becoming a teacher...

I made it (barely) thru my first semester as an instructor at CCC in Page, AZ.
I loved it for the most part, but had some plagiarism issues. I will probably go overboard this semester trying to instill honesty in my new students, but hey, they need it too.
Busy as all get-out, but loving it,
Auntie Jane
